Author and Editor

I am a fiction writer living in Victoria, B.C. My short stories have been published in Canadian and American journals as well as in a British anthology.

I started storytelling at a young age in my hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Before I could write, I created stories in songs. I wrote my first novella on summer break at age 12. Writing fiction has been a part of my life ever since.

I am passionate about telling women’s stories and unearthing the deeper emotions “nice girls” are supposed to keep to themselves. I am currently working on my next book, a novel set in Montréal.

I have also worked as an editor for over two decades. I have edited web content, articles and publications, including the book J.E.H. MacDonald Up Close: The Artist’s Materials and Techniques, published by Goose Lane Editions in 2024.
